Hi everyone,

Does anyone have experience dealing with Paypal and an e-commerce site? This is my first experience dealing with Paypal and its order processing system.

From the Paypal site, it says that in order to test order processing, you need to sign up for a Paypal account and register a credit card to that account. You place an order and then refund it?!? This is ridiculous!

Don't they just a testing center where you can test without having to post an order with your credit card? Anyways, if someone has successfully linked up with Paypal before, please post a reply. Thanks in advance!

Not sure about PayPal, but with others you can send test transactions using 4111111111111111 as as the CC number.

Greetings,

Hey Dragonwell,

Thanks for the reply. I know that 4111 1111 1111 1111 satisfies the algorithm for credit card number verification schemes but it doesn't check the validity of the account, which Paypal does.

I found out that they have a testing facility called the "Sandbox" which emulates the real environment. But like a sandbox, it's fully of gritty bugs.

Thnx BoulderBum,

I'll check these resources out.
