Hey all,

I was loading antivirus software on a 4.0 server I just rebuilt and I found out I couldn't load the software as myself. The error message was: "The account for Netshield does not have sufficient rights." I was using my own account, and I confirmed that I am a member of the Administrators group. What's up with that? Also, this NT server is a BDC on my 2k domain that is running Active Directory, if that makes any difference.

Thanks,

Joe Brouillette

hi,
it in not clear to me if the error comes
during the installation, or when the program runs.

some products (starting as services), require the definition
of a specific user that can be or not member of
administrator and may have or not some privileges:
logon locally, act as OS, ....

Can this help you ?

bye

Hi Victor,

I get the error as I'm trying to install the program. In my 2000 servers the program uses my account to install and to run, and it does so without any errors. Is there something with NT that needs an additional right that I'm not seeing? On the 2000 side I'm a Domain Admin, a Schema Admin, and just about everything else. I don't know enough about NT to figure this one out.

Thanks,

Joe Brouillette
