To get your screen saver to start when you want it to, with the 3 finger solute, just follow this tip. Tested on Windows 98 SE

First right click on your Desktop and got to New - Shortcut - then browse you Hard Drive where windows is installed and open the windows folder. In the File Name type *.scr and press enter, this will show you all your screen savers, chose the one you want the Ok - Next - Rename (if you want) - Finish. Now you have the short cut on your desktop, right click and go to Properties, in Shortcut you will - Shortcut key, click in that box and the press ctrl you will see the box contents change to ctrl + alt + that is when you type in another key to use, I use z or x as they are all together, click Apply - Ok and now you can test it. The Shortcut doesn't have to be on your desktop, this is just for demonstration.

Reminds me of another old tip. You can use the screensaver system to auto-schedule many other programs; simply rename them to whatever.scr and pick that as your screensaver, set your time delay and voila.
