Installing Windows Defender on W2K 1

Get an error installing Windows Defender on Windows 2000 Pro "GDI+ required"?
Download the file gdiplus_dnld.exe from Microsoft

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...9C-DF12-4D41-933C-BE590FEAA05A&displaylang=en

Then run the file and extract to the %system%\system32 folder (usually C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 folder).

Next run the Windowsdefender.msi file again, and it's running!

If the program will not initially update (error 0x8024402c)
simply use the Windows Update...
