Hopefully this isn't too beginner a question. Definity G3R6

I need to add another digital circuit pack. What all do I need to do? shutdown system and install card or what? Heck I don't even think I know how to shut this thing down.

Never had to add a card before.

Thanks for any help!

First thing is to remove the front cover.
Second look for a slot that has purple at the bottom
Third remove the white blank insert
Fourth slid in your new digital card and lock in place
Fifth goto SAT and type LI CON ALL to see your new card Wisdom is Knowledge
that is Shared

Thanks All Phoneman2

You do not need to power the unit off, for the most part all of the cards are hot swappable. You will need to make sure you have an open slot. And need to know how to find that card slot termination block. I.e. 66 or 110. You will need that so you can cross connect the ports on the pack, to a phone on the floor. If you have never done that, trace back an active phone. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! I already have ample 110 blocks, just no cards in the slot. Plenty of analog cards, not enough digital. I'm actually cross connecting to one of those MCK PBX Gateways within a month or two. Branch office down the road.

I didn't realize they were hot swap... very cool!

Thanks for the help!
