Installing T1/E1 WIC/VIC card in Cisco2801 Router...

We just purchased a Cisco2801 and a T1/E1 WIC/VIC card. I installed the card in the supported slot3. I checked the config to see if the card is recognized. It is not and when I plug the cable into the WIC card it does not light up. ANy suggestions on what needs to be done to get this installed correctly? The documentation does not say anything about it.

setup the card type as a T1.
