Installing snmp::util localy on solaris

Hi everyone,

I have access to a sun solaris server wich runs perl 5.00 (and then something) I am not at work right now and I can't check the exact version but it starts with 5.00.

Since I have no root access I am not able to install the modules except localy.
I did some reasearch and to install the snmp:util module I need to install the SNMP-1.8 module and ucd-snmp-3.5 module. I have been searching for those modules and I found the SNMP-1.8 module here:

ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/languages/perl/CPAN/authors/id/GSM/

but I was unable to find the ucd-snmp-3.5 module. Every reference I found to that module refers to an almost 5 year old module and when going to the site where the modules should be.. the page does not excist anymore.

Can someone point me to a alternative wich supports error handling and does work with the perl version mentioned above and wich I can install localy?

hi all,

Sorry for kicking this topic but I was wondering something.

I once in a while ask a question and most of the time noone knows the answer. I was wondering if it was my line of questioning and what I am doing wrong. Am I not clear enough in what I want? This is a serious question and I hope to get a to the point honest answer or critisism on my posts.
