Hi there!
the company I work for just purchased a new Dell OPtiplex system.. P4, 1.8Ghz, 512 MB RAM.. The video is on board, but I need to install a new 3D labs Oxygen card for some AutoCAD programs that we'll be running. That card worked just fine in the old Win98 PIII machine, but in Win XP Pro, I see the initial XP Pro screen, then it goes to disk checking, when it is done that... nothing.. it just hangs...
I've changed the BIOS from Onboard, to Auto, and obviously I have video, but something is screwing it up..
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Leda

If I could get the computer to boot up when the card was in, I have the CD that came with it... But it won't boot into Safe Mode, it won't boot up at all. the screen goes black, or stays on the blue screen of disk checking..
If you're talking about upgrading the BIOS, I checked on the Dell website and I have the most up to date for that model. Like I said, it's a brand new system... I am at a loss.. i saw on the 3D labs website that if I boot into Safe Mode and disable the onboard video, it should be fine, but I can't even do that...
I just tried to install it again, and now I get a message saying "this monitor works, check the cables", bouncing all over the screen..
