installing network adapter on win 98se

I bought a new network adapter, when i installed it at the opening of the computer it ask the driver, already installed, then it asks many dll files like dhcpcsvc.dll, icmp.dll, ipcfgdll.dll, and others to be set up, i got it from the internet. then it ask also the file 'networks'. So this is what I don't know to get it. can someone help? thx.

What type of Network Card? Brand, Model, etc

Did this workstation have a Network card in it before?

 
Do you have an install cd for the card?

In Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, Network Adaptors
does the card show up and does it have any yellow marks beside it?

They should either be in the folder C:\windows\system or it should be asking for your installation files.

When you're asked for the location, try entering C:\windows\system or C:\windows
