Hello All,

Do we have this mod compatible with all of the 5.x perl SUNOS 5.9 version? CPAN only one version of this module.

If at first you don't succeed, don't try skydiving.

What problems are you having?

Thanks for the reply Paul. I am not really having a problem as I have not even tried installing the module. The question really comes from my boss who is the "dot your i's and cross your t's" kind of guy.

We need to instruct the Unix Admins here what modules we need to install as we are not allowed root access. So we need to be sure what we tell them to do will work.

CPAN only has one download available for the NETT::SSH::Perl module so I assume that it will work with any version of Solaris and any version of perl. The readme or perldoc for the mod does not explisitly spell out what versons it works (or does not work) for.

Also I would like to get it on my Win2k laptop for testing, but ActiveState does not seem to have it available.

Any help is appriciated.

There is a dll of Net::SSLeay and a ppd for the win32 version, where I'm not sure (google).

In terms of the spec for your IT guys, if someone doesn't come after me and says it'll definitely work if you do x, y and z, simply state, for the record, without access to a suitable testbed, it is impossible to state whether this will work or not. The version on CPAN is dated last July, and is being packaged by David Robins, who took over from the last guy.

I'm inclined to think it should, but to thine own derriére, be true.

Regards
--Paul
