I want to install IIS on my XP machine. I go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components. The "WIndows Components Wizard" appears and I can see IIS as one of the options.

Here's my question...if I de-select all the components except IIS, will it uninstall the other components? I ask this because when I deselected MSN Explorer a pop-up window appeared asking if "Do you want to uninstall MSN Explorer?". This kind of message did not appear for any of the other components I deselected but it got me wondering if by deslecting it would uninstall them (which I don't want it to do).

Thanks!
