Installing ASP.NET

Hi there,

I have Visual Studio.Net installed with a proper license. Do I need a separate license for installing ASP.NET?

Is it necessary to have VS.NET installed in order to get ASP.NET installed?

Any help in this regard is appreciated.

ASP.NET will be installed with VS as long as you select that option during install. I believe it is intalled by default.

Hi,

There was no option to select ASP.NET while installing VS.NET. I installed VS.NET 2003.

It should be installed. Try to create a ASP.NET web app to see if you have that option.

I am able to create ASP.NET web applications. But I dont see the validation controls like 'Required field validator' etc.

They should all be under the WebForms tab.
