Hello.

I'm having problems getting an ASP.net 2.0 site to work on a Windows 2003 Standard Edition server with MS SQL2005 and IIS6.0. The only way I can get it to work without permissions realted errors (like 401.1) is to set the Indentity under App Pool to use Local Service. This somehow gets changed by a domain controler someplace (I think) back to it's default.

What is the proper way to set up a web site on an above server when you want anonymous access? What services need to be set? What kinds of things need to be set up correctly?

Is there a step-by-step write up someplace? I've searched MS and found a confusing maze of information.

Any info?

Thanks!
