installed xp & now i have no IExplorer, i386 missing folder

Still at this stupid xp thing... Reformatted HardDrive and converted to NTFS. Installed winxp home ed. and now i'm getting i386 folder missing and no IEXPLORER file. So, I would like to download bcastner's suggestion to fix my disappearing cdrw problem, but now I'm stuck with a worse mess LOL =( Can anyone help? Thanks much =) I have no internet explorer on floppy and that is the only drive my XP software is reading, floppy & HD. Can't get on the net w/o IE (or something) so I can't download the drivers to fix my cdrom LOL.
