I would like to know if there is a way to know if a program is installed on a computer.

My program have to open a .pdf file. If Adobe Acrobat is installed, it will open the document, else it will start the install program of Acrobat.

My program will be executed from a CD and launched with an autorun file. I don't know if I can use APIs when executing from a CD.

Can it be done?!?
