Hi all Brilliant Brains iout there . . .

I need help urgent on installation of an applcation referencing the
sqldmo.dll (incl. in install)
dtspkg.dll (incl. in install)

(ON WINDOWS 98)

DCOM98 has been installed on the pc.

Does anyone know what the dependencies are of the above dll is . . . we have include the following files . . .
sqlunirl.dll
sqlresld.dll
sqlsvc.dll
odbc32.dll
and all the *.rll files that I could find.

The error when executing the installed exe - ActiveX object could not be created.

We have also included the following
mscomctl.ocx
comdlg.ocx (ect) - so we have catered for all controls used by the app that might not be available on Win 98.

Any ideas would be highly appreciated!!

Dependancy walker can give you a list of all dependancies. Look for 'Depends' (Depends.exe,i think) in the 'Start/programs/visual studio 6/tools' folder.

Thanks and Good Luck!

W95scm.dll

Hi guys,

Thnx 4 your replies . . .

Sadly - I had done all that you have suggested (including the article) before I submitted the post.

I hoped to find someone that had done a installation with this particular scenario before - I am not shooting down your input though - I appreciate you guys taking time to help me [lol]

We have decided to through sqldmo out the window (sad).

Again thnx!
