have you tride to manualy create a shortcut?<br>-if so i don't know any more that you can do besides calling the software company you bought the software from.<br>-if not then right-click on the desktop goto new click on shortcut, then proceed to put in the info asked for.

apologies, I should have been more specific. The problem in particular is with an application we are developing, and the program works fine when the user manually creates the shortcut, but we don't want to have to document this "workaround". We would like to know why exactly Windows 2000 doesn't create the shortcut during the installation process. All the help file shortcuts work fine, but the application shortcut fails. ??? If anyone has ever encountered this problem, any help would be appreciated!
