Hello,<br><br>I am attemting to install a VB6 application which is halted with the message: 'The File "c:\WINDOWS\TEMP\mstqws.pdw\$[DLLSelfRegisterEx]" could not be registered because it was not found'. Can somebody please let me know how I can overcome this problem.<br><br>Regards

Q: By chance are you using the MSCal.ocx? If so, check the DEP file and you will notice an error in the DEP file's syntax (there is a space or additional character).
Easy fix. If you look in the setup list of your application package you will notice that one of your ocx registration lines looks slightly different.<br>instead of, say<br>File14=@MSHFLXGD.OCX,$(WinSysPath),$(DLLSelfRegister),$(Shared),5/7/99 12:00:00 AM,438800,6.0.84.18<br>it will say<br>File14=@MSHFLXGD.OCX,$(WinSysPath),$(DLLSelfRegister<font color=red>Ex</font>),$(Shared),5/7/99 12:00:00 AM,438800,6.0.84.18<br><br>Notice the extra Ex?
