I managed to get a SP3 setup down to a PC that is in an OU, but when it was done and restarted, system properties showed SP2, and I was able to remove from add/remove programs.

ANy ideas why it would have not installed? I set it as assigned, and to computer.

Thanks

Can you give a little more info? Thanks. Glen A. Johnson

I've also just tried removing the user from the OU and rebooting his machine, then put him back into the OU, and rebooted, but it did not try to reinstall like it should as well. Seems very intermittent. It does tell me that it is applying the security policies, but now does not install at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is the user a member of the local security group? If not, user can't add or change software locally. Glen A. Johnson

I have this SP setup under computer, not user. Would I still have to set him up under local security group?
