Install other OS besides XP

hi,

suppose I have XP on my system, and want to install Win 98 or 2000 on the same hard disk such that both operating systems are available to me.

question: to install a second OS besides XP, should I make the hard drive partition primary or logical will do?

Windows XP must be installed after any previous OS or the "Boot Manager" will not operate correctly.

It can be done but it isn't the easiest !!
