Install Linux

I am a newbe with linux, and i have been problems installin linux an windows. I have a PC with 40 G. and I can not install the lilo correctly. I thing I making mistakes on the partitions...........when i finish the instalation the LiLo looks like LI...........


Could you help me.......telling me some tips.. or where can i find how to install the lilo propertly......thanks a lot.

You should make your "/" root partition under 2Mb, and then partition the rest as you'd like. I think it might have something to do with you're disk size and Linux's ability to see it all. Check out

The software required `Windows 95 or better', so I installed Linux.
