I have a bunch of PC's with preloaded Microsoft Office XP and 2000, Pro/Standard/SBE. My headache is when I need to update the workstations, it wants the CD. Is there a way I can mount the CD on a Network drive, and somehow tell the install to look for the CD there?

Thanks

I think so, we do it at the school I work at. We copy over the contents of the Office disc to the server and create a share called 'OFFICE_DISC'. Then, when the workstation needs the Office disk, (general data1.msi), you just browse to the shared drive.

Hope this helps

Thanks, I was hoping for a non interactive approach. I push updates for a console. I never get any prompts, If the CD is not present, the install just stops, or goes through the motions, and does nothing.
