I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 that won't stay on but for a few seconds, not even long enough to see anything on the display. I've removed just about every removal component, even replaced the motherboard but the problem remains. Any one have any success repairing an 1150 with this problem?

How'bout the power supply or power cord? Have you tested different ones?

Yes, fails also running on battery only.

Try cleaning the connectors on the Battery itself, and make sure that the Power Supply has a light on the transformer and the pins (3 pin moulded if memory serves) are not damaged on the back of the notebook itself.
