How do I insert check boxes or radio buttons in my Report ?

Thank you in advance.

Ken

You can't.

You can emulate the output from a check box using a Wingdings font, as in:

chr(254) - (checked box)
chr(168) - (empty box)

Hi

for a radio button you need 2 formulas

@blank Button
chr(79)
the font for this one is TimeNewRoman(western)

@checkButton

chr(108)

the font of this one is Wingding

ajust the size in accordance to you want them
just place then on top of each other and suppress the blank one on your criteria

hope this helps

In Crystal 8.5, f you create a formula field with the following:
chr(recordnumber)
you can then place it on a report and check out all possibilities for the various fonts, windings etc. A quick way to find out what's there that can be used, and you can also put recordnumber next to it. Such a report will also let you check if all of the relevant printers can print it, which is a good idea given Crystal's non-WISYWIG habits.

Above 256 it seems just to recycle - just what you'd expect on the assumption that it is based on ASCII characters.
