For a variety of operational reasons I have several dozen RightFax DIDs configured to have the TAC inserted on an external inbound call (i.e. I receive 14878 from the LEC, on the trunk group form I look for that digit string and prepend 8814 (the RightFax TG access code) which sends it to the RightFax tie trunks). This enables me to route DIDs to the RightFax server without tying up VDNs / vectors and just x-porting the station in the PBX.
One problem - we're a large campus and sometimes faxing is done internally between buildings. I've experimented with various forms of digit replacements, routing patterns, etc. and have not been able to add the TAC when someone internal just dials 14878. Is there a way to intercept those internally and either (preferred) prepend the TAC on an internal extension call or (if must) change that internal extension to automatically become an external call and dial back into my PBX?
S8710s running 2.2 at the moment - sorry for the length and thanks much for any input!!
