I am unable to insert into a table. I get the...

'Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition'

...error. Strange thing, I can't even insert from enterprise mgr. I only have 4 required fields and the rest can be null. Updates and deletes work fine.

I can try to recreate the table and append from the old table but I'm hoping there is an easier solution.

In short, help !

Please post the INSERT statement you are trying to execute.

Are you sure you have insert rights to the table? Is there a trigger onthe table which might not be working correctly and that is where the insert is failing?

The insert is a straight-forward. I have checked and rechecked the VALUES clause. All field types match and number of columns match.

There are no triggers and I am the DBO.

Up till a few days ago, this was working fine. No design changes have been made to the table.

There's not much we can do without seeing exactly what the table looks like and what you are trying to execute. Can you script the CREATE TABLE statement and post that, along with the INSERT statement that is failing.
