<And here I was thinking that Microsoft used [tt]dlg[/tt] as the Hungarian Notation prefix for common dialogs.

Well, all of their global constants begin with cdl.
 

However, they did indeed recommend in at least VB 4/5/6 to use HN, and specifically "dlg" for the common dialog.
 
Really? I've seen it both ways, I guess, in their courseware materials. Googling to each reveals each on the msdn pages, too.

Maybe this is why those Microsoft employees all yell at each other so much.
 
I also still have the printed MS VB bookes actually shipped with VB 4 and 5, and yes, it is so. There is also a section on HN.
