Can someone help in alleviating this problem?

Expand the target column size?

Yes, DPS, we can help. You have encountered the most imperceptible and esoteric diagnostic in all of Oracle. This is a SQL*Plus diagnostic, not SQL. It comes when you execute a script in SQL*Plus and you forget to hit a [Return] at the end of your last line of script code.

To illustrate the problem, bring up your script in your favourite text editor, then move your mouse on the screen to well below your last line of visible text, then click your mouse button. You will see the cursor jump up to the right-hand end of your last line of text. (BTW, your last line of text is 9 characters long, right?) Just hit the [Enter] key so that your cursor drops to the next line and is flashing in column 1 of the line just beyond your last visible line of code.

Re-run your script, and the diagnostic will be gone.

Let us know of your success.
