I want to run a wave file from the command button (like in "Quicken" when you save an entry??). I tried
Code:
 shell "c:\myfiles\mywav.wav"
but I get "Invalid procedure call or argument" error when it executes. Any suggestions?
I think I must instantiate an instance of maybe Windows Media Player or something to run in the background. If this is the case, is there a way to do this so that this doesn't have to be done. Instantiating this large application (Media Player) is not ideal due to the time it takes to open the app.
Thanks.

Yeah, so many people have asked how to play waves that DougP's post should become standard issue when you join Tek-Tips. =)
