Initial Load/Incremental Load

Hi, Can anybody explain what exactly Intial Load and Incremental Load is
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Incremental Load means only loading those rows which have been updated or inserted after the previous load.

I am not sure about the Intial Load, but what i infer is that it is the first load after the mapping has been done.
