Hello, I was wondering if anybody could guide me to a website where I could get some info on how to setup a wide area network on windows 2000 advanced server. (I don''t want to use software like pc anywhere I tried it and didn't like it) My main concern when I setup it up is just to make sure that it's secure. I pretty much know what to do but I would feel better with some kind a documentation.

Thank You

Read the windows help on Remote Routing and Access. I have no idea what kind of WAN you are refering to, but RRAS is designed to do most of you WAN needs... site to site over dedicated lines, over vpn through the internet, and user dial up and vpn through the internet. Either router, modem, DLS, it really doesn't matter how. If you look under concepts in RRAS, you should get a good picture of how to set up what you need.

Thanks, my goal from this network is to connect to a database so I pretty much just want to share the drive from work to home. Just like you would share a drive from the network neighborhood, so will RRAS be the answer to this network.

Thanks again
