Hi everybody,
I'm a user of Peregrine Service Center 5.0., and i need help about how to access to the DB of the aplication directly without software of Peregrine, the reasos is , i have to do a web aplication, to obtain some information from the DB to make some stadistics.

Please could anybody tell me how to start it?

Pere. ( From Spain)

You should be able to use the odbc connection to the database to access the data.

If the ODBC for V5 is as good as the ODBC driver for V4 than you're in for a lot of problems.

The reason is that for V4, SC uses the P4 databse and the ODBC doesn't work very well. Remember, P4 was never a relationnal database.

I tried using the ODBC driver (V4 mind you) to access data from Crystal SQL designer and as soon as you try to do something fancy, it dies ! So try your luck and see.

If you're looking for basic stuff Crystal designer can help somewhat and it uses the ODBC connexion to SC.

Is your data running on P4, then you could consider to take another db like oracle or mssql and shadow your environment. Then you have acces to a database you for sure can acces the way you want
