pcteckkk,

Good Morning! I just began using InfoPath a few months ago. I think i may have what you're looking for. I designed a Daily Maintenance form that requires approval by our Analysts. Once they click "Approve", it saves a copy to SharePoint and e-mails it to my group.

Would you tell me what you've already completed? Do you already have two views setup? Have you already created Data Connection to submit a form using an e-mail address?

Thanks,

Bryce

we havnet done anything, just started looking at the app
we dont know how to use or anything yet.
i was hoping to see some/a example

were wanting to use like hr forms, vacation requests/PO requests that get created and emailed to various folks for approval
then to the final director for approval or not.

we dont have sharepoint either do u need that ??
thanks Bryce

Louiem,

You do not need sharepoint to use infopath. If you would like an example infopaht file, feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks,

Bryce

I want to use Infopath to route a form for signatures and having difficulties getting it route from one address to the next. Has anyone done this already and can you help me?

One thing I have "made work" is having a tickbox as an approved field.

This way, when the form is submitted, I use custom rules to change the value of the field from 0(false) to 1(true). Then with conditional formatting, if the value of approved1 = 1, it will show the next bit of the form for the second manager.
Not pretty, but effective.
