I have to update firmware on all of our 4602,10 and 21 phones in our company. This has been done in the once since we went down the IP route and was installed by rebooting the phones and they pick up the firmware from the tftp server as they boot back up. Is there any way to do this as a forced job rather than have to reset nearly 450 phones individually. If this is a silly question and there is a simple answer then i can take the embarrasment over the sore feet going round all these phones individually...... [blush]

Hi fuctifanno,

I have also the same isseu. But the only way to do this is power-down the ethernet switch so that all stations are losing the ppoe power.
If correctly after putting the power back on the switch if you use PPoe the should download new firmware from the TFTP server.

I you use external power adapters use your imagination!

You could reset the network region which will force re-registration.

You can do a "reset ip-stations" and pick the appropriate qualifier below.

ip-phones IP phones
tti TTI IP stations
unauth Unauthenticated IP stations
all-ip All IP stations
ip-network-region (1-250) Specific network region
all-regions All network regions
ipaddr xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy Specific IP address range, inclusive

Example: reset ip-stations ip-phones ipaddr 192.168.1.50 192.168.1.100
Example: reset ip-stations all-ip ip-network-region 10
