It's been a while since I've configured an index but......
Connect the phone to the DSCL card or analogue card depending on the type of phone you're using.
Then this is dependant of index software (I think) you have to assign an extension number in the directory menu option. That's all from memory so it could be wrong. If oyu paste a screen shot of the menu options I should be able to guide you through.
