Incremental group backing up too much data

Hello,

Our incremental backups started behaving stragely since about a month ago. We have 2 NetWorker clients (file servers) that backed up around 30 Gb of data daily in our daily incremental group and now these same clients backup around 200 Gb and 400 Gb respectively every day. I doubt that users changed that amount of data daily so i'm wondering why NetWorker backs up that much data in our incremental backup. I have verified that the change journal is disabled on both clients.

Any tips and suggestions are apreciated.

Have you checked which level is actually used for the backups?

If the media db will be corrupt so that "NW can not find the last full", NW will in fact create a new full all the time. Does the amount to data represent a full backup?

The level is "incr" (incremental).

The amount of data does not represent a full backup but about 80% of it.

Here's one line of the savegroup completion log file:

"fileserver1: D:\ level=incr, 425 GB 25:36:38 1460111 files"

Thanks for your help.

yeah, it looks more like a full. The question is: did all files really change? However, this is what you should find outside of NW.
