I have a client that would like to purchase another IPO for their remote site and they had a great question for me (I am currently in the office testing this right now with not much luck!!)

Site A: IP403 with main hunt group of 200. (5 extension ring in this hunt group – 201,202,203,204,205)

Site B: Proposed IP403 with main hunt group of 300. (5 extensions will ring in this hunt group – 301,302,303,304,305)

When inbound telephone line rings at site A the (5) extension will ring as part of hunt group 200. I would like hunt group 300 in site B to also ring at the same time (or with the shortest delay possible).

I created a shortcode that dials hunt group 300 then created a phantom extension in site A that has forward unconditional turned on as well as hunt group forward and assigned it to hunt group 200. This works as long as I configure hunt group 200 to be a linear or circular but it won’t work if configured as a group. I need hunt group 200 to be type “group” because I want all the extensions to ring at the same time.

Does anyone have an insight into this? All systems are 3.0 and they do not have or want voicemail pro.

ypou are prety stuck
if you want group ringing at site A the only real alternative is to set a falback group to ring site B after the no answer time (Linear group dummy user as before)

Forward this question to Avaya. The more people ask for it the quicker they will implement it (I hope :)).
