Calls are coming in to 61, calls originating from known ATT customers are going to the console. Other calls coming in(cell phones, Verizon and other carriers) go directly to the extension. I think it is a translation problem with ATT. The incoming T1 to the switch is on an ATT circuit.

Anything that I need to check in the switch? This is in a hospital.

if this is a pri? then what does your enl msgi x (ld 96) show? and is the number of digits of the ldn the same as the number of digits that att is sending? the length of that number has to match for did trunks, not for ties.. the best bet is to turn on that d channel monitor and see what your being sent.. hard to believe that other carriers are coming in right on the same route? when i call vai a cell to my switch, the carrier sends the call to my provider not to my switch, so if my provider hs translation problems it would show on all calls..

Here is what happened:

Option 61 with a Norstar from a t1 tie on RDB 6

calls that were going to the norstar across the tie were not getting to the extension but coming to the console instead and only on ATT circuits. All other calls went through to the DN.

ATT had a test set on their end and called the extension. They told us that it was going through from 3.1khz setting. We changed the (tie)RDB 6 DSEL setting from VCE to 3VCE(3.1Khz) and it worked fine.

that is a known problem. there are about 6 places that can cause that, my response asked if it was a pri because of that. if it's the 1st pri there are another list of things to look at.. congrats on the cure
