I have an inbound DID range 214-981-9900 thru 9999 to an AT&T SIP trunking to SM. I need to correctly program the CM trunk-group incoming call treatment to change the 9900 to 9999 number range to 7900 to 7999 on our dial plan.

AT&T is sending in 10 digits and I am not sure how many digits to delete and insert in the incoming call treatment table in the CM trunk-group.

depends really.

You could delete all and put all 4 digits for each extension. Although you'd need 100 entries.

A more sensible approach would be to delete 7 and insert a single new one... I'll leave it as an exercise to work out which digit to insert

or maybe delete 8 and insert 2?

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

@randycarroll you mean delete 7 insert 214-981 right

Below example with one entry will work for 2149819000 - 2149819999 and send calls to 7000 - 7999
incoming call on trunk-group 1 to 2149819000 - 10 digits incoming from provider
CM to delete first 7 (2149819) leaves last 3 (000)
insert 7 in front of last 3 (000) sends call to 7000

Code:
change trunk-group 1 Page 3 of 22
                       INCOMING CALL HANDLING TREATMENT
Service/ Called Called Del Insert Per Call Night
 Feature Len Number CPN/BN Serv
 tie 10 2149819 7 7
 other 10 2149819 7 7
 public-ntwrk 10 2149819 7 7

A great teacher, does not provide answers, but methods to teach others "How and where to find the answers"
