I have been running exchange server for about 1 year on a server, no problems. Two days ago it stoped recieving and sending? Inner office mail works fine but no external activity.
The IMS service seems to be stuck in the starting mode and does not change. I tried to reboot the server but did not help. Thanks for point ting me to the problem, but I do not know how to fix it.
What do you mean stuck in starting mode? Have you tried manually starting it in services? if this won't work what is the error message you are receiving?
Have you recently changed the Administrator password, the service won't start if the password is incorrect, it doesn't always propogate through all services so you may need to change it manually if this is the case.
Because you can send internally the information stores would appear to be sound, if you can't find a logical solution to this I would note down all the tab contents for the IMC, remove the present IMC and then add a new one.
