Hi

I have Windows XP clients connecting to shares on a Windows 2000 server.

I seem to be getting the connection issue as if it was Windows 2000 Pro (limited to 10) any ideas how to make the server know its a server and not a client OS?

Thanks

I'm not 100% certain, but if not using a domain, 2000 Server may limit you the same as if you are using Pro. In a domain, you need Client Access Licenses - the server typically comes with 5. I'd say you need to switch to a domain and buy CALs.

You can also set connection limits for each share - you might want to check that there are no limits set on the shares.
