inactive oracle sessions

Hello,

The oracle sessions that get created by the tool, after using the tool for a while there are Oracle Sessions that are created in inactive status accumulated and not terminated.

This is happening even after closing the oracle connection object from the application. Namespace used is system.data.oracleclient v1.0

Please let me how to avoid oracle sessions in inactive status.
Software Details:

Oracle 8i

Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1

Microsoft Visual studio .Net 2003

Are you sure that this is not a kind of connection pooling? Does that tool opens new connections or reuses free ones?
