Hi,
i have exchange 5.5.

In order to reconfigure the server to have an uniform configuration for all mailbox i'm looking for a script / utility to change the Message sizes (both Outgoing / Incoming) property for all mailboexs on the server.

Anyone can help me to find/write it?

Thanks for your reply
Fabio

Thanks for your fast replY!

But your answer is not exctly what i need: my exchangfe is already populated and working.

I have to set a new great value for IMC (20MB) then limit all the user to send /receive to 2MB (except some mailboxes that not need limitation).

Actually the mailboxes have various limit (1, 2,3,5 MB) and i would like reset all to 2MB.

I think this is scriptable but don't know how.

Fabio

How have you decided that my answer was not what you needed? You can't have read very far down the page:

"How to modify attributes using Bulk Import
You can use the Bulk Import program to modify attributes associated with mailboxes, custom recipients, and DLs. To modify the value of an attribute, export the existing data to a .CSV file, change the value of the attributes in the data file, and import the file. All existing objects will be modified with the new values."

I think that about handles the second part of your (clarified) question, I even gave you the attributes to import.

The first part of your requirement can be achieved by setting a value of 20480 on the Message Size Maximum box on the IMS's general tab. This limit applies to messages after encoding. Note that messages with attachments are MIME-encoded, and thus can grow by anything up to about 20% in size as they transit across SMTP, so don't be surprised if that 19MB powerpoint presentation gets bounced by the IMS as too big.
