I have a Word doc that merges with data from an Access database. One of the merged fields in the Word doc printed some of the field's data and then just printed a bunch of ?'s. What was different about this particular data record, was that the field contained more data than usual, but it's a memo field, so all the data is displayed in Access and the Access query fine. (I actually use the trim function for the field.)

Is there a way to shrink/grow the merge field in the Word doc, so that all the data is displayed?

Thanks!

I have never tried this. I understand Word has a limit of 256 characters for a merge field, unless the very first entry contains the largest entry for the field, then Word drops the limit.

May be you want to try that.
