I've just been poking around in the BIOS (like you do)and found this option for 'OS select for DRAM>64':'OS2 or non OS2'. The mainboard uses Award BIOS and I run Windows 98se with 256 RAM. Could someone please explain the meaning of OS2 so I can check for correct setting? Thanks. (Currently set to non OS2) My suggestions are what I would try myself. If incorrect, I welcome corrections to my rather limited knowledge. Andy.

Non-OS2 is the oneyou want. I am not sure exactly what the OS2 setting is for, but I belive its used in IBM OS2 Warp. But the standard is Non-OS2 James Collins

O.K. James, thanks for the immediate reply! Non-OS2 was set by default so I had to assume it was correct but I do like to check these things! Cheers. My suggestions are what I would try myself. If incorrect, I welcome corrections to my rather limited knowledge. Andy.

The OS2 setting is for those who use that operating system, as James suggested. Apparently, the operating system does something non-standard when accessing the RAM, making that setting neccesary.
