In a Cross Tab q I get a column called <> where there are no values.

I have a cross tab query which counts the number of Employed and Hired people per project at each location. If a location has no Hired staff, the xtab enters a column called <> with the values 0. This is good. The same happens if a location has no Employed staff. How can I get the xtab to call the column either Hired or Employed depending on which one has no hired or employed staff?

The problem comes in my report. If I enter Oslo and Oslo has no employed staff then the report field Employed will not recognise <> in the query and there fore will not enter 0 next to the project name under the column employed?

I think <> is what is shown for null data - modify your underlying query to exclude null values and you should lose the <> column... I think...
