We have a IP406V1 with VM Pro. We are running version 3.2(17). We are running exchange 2003.

The issue is that some people receive the voicemail to the e-mail and some do not.

We have setup vmpro to use smtp to send the alerts.

Each user has their e-mail address in manager and is set top forward a copy of the voicemail to their e-mail.

We have the IMS admin program setup with each person e-mail address. It does not error when we sync the mailboxes.

We are using a logon setup specifically for voicemail.

In control panel we have set the vmpro config up with a path settings pointing to the machine with vmpro/ims on it. We have e-mail settings set with a valid account and to send the voicemails as attached wavs. We also have the mail server set in the smtp setting with no authentication.

When hitting check everything checks out.

How can I find out why certain users receive the messages and certain ones don't??

HELP!!! Thanks!!!!

It may be obvious(SP) but have you checked the VM tab in manager to make sure they have it set to alert, copy or forward?

As fas as I know, IMS Requires MAPI connectivity not SMTP

Please can you let us know if you are using MAPI or SMTP

Are you really using IMS? i.e are you licenced to use it?

Take Care

Matt
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

I have checked copy for every user.

We are using SMTP. I thought IMS uses the exchange mailbox to send the voicemail...

We do have the IMS license. We are able to hit check on the vmpro settings and have it complete with no errors.

Thanks for the help.

Are you running in cached mode or not?

I have only deployed IMS on one sister branch fully, and only implemented partially on the others, to include the main office, which also houses our internal exchange server. When IMS stops working for some users, the fix is to check the individual user's IMS settings, type the user's email address MANUALLY, then use the NT account which is pulled from exchange server, under the NT account setting. Save and synchronize, and it goes back to working. Restarting the IMS restart service also helps, when multiple users experience the issue. Why? Because Avaya makes it interesting, and fun for those that have to support it. ;)
