VM Pro 3.1.21 installed on Windows 2003 R2. Me and the IT guy went through a very long installation procedure suggested by Avaya ( Openned DCOM on the server and on the client, and got to the point that the messages are sent (attached), so you can hear them in the PC speakers. However, if I choose to hear them through the handset, the phone (5410) openes, but no sound is heared. When deleting the message from Outlook, it is not deleted from VM Pro.

The instructions for openning DCOM say something about openning the database DCOM, but the computer has no database DCOM.

What are we missing?

Just to clarify, you are getting the form to pop up in outlook with the player controls and all of that? And when you click the play button the speaker on the phone opens but there is no audio? Also is the indicator moving during playback?

The screen pops up, the phone openes but plays no sound, the indicator does not advance.

Problem solved:

1. Must add Anonymous access in all DCOM options both on the server and the client.

2. The reason why the message was not playing on the phone was this: Email help was on, and VM Pro was competing with IMS on who will send the voice message. When VM Help was turned off, it worked fine.

Now another issue: Thinks work great on desktops, but not on laptops. All are made by IBM and run XP + office 2003. Could be some configration problem in the laptops (all are loaded for ready made images), will continue to investigate.
