Hi,
I am extremely new to Premiere, so please excuse any following stupidity!
I am trying to import a Windows Media Audio/Video file and it wont allow me to import/open or anything. When I navigate to where the certain file is, the computer wont even show the file as being in the folder. I can only edit using Windows Movie Maker.
Any help is greatly appreciated - Thanks

From my experience with Premiere, you can only import AVI, MOV, and MPEG video formats in the timeline. So I would suggest converting your WMV file to AVI.

It is my understanding that the WMV format is not supported by Premiere. It may be supported by After Effects, but that might not help you.

It makes perfectly good sense that Windows Movie Maker supports WMV, as WMV is a proprietary Windows format.

I, too, suggest using WMM to export to something Premiere can read.

Good luck!
