As far as I know Photoshop automatically uses any fonts that you have installed in Windows. If your having problems though, you can force it to use certain fonts by copying them into:
Program Files/Common Files/ Adobe/Fonts
Just copy all your fonts across from your System/Fonts folder into here and load up Photoshop. Your fonts should be there....
Howard: simply copying may not work, because
fonts are in the registry and evtl. in Win.Ini
Install TrueType fonts by the Win font installer.
Install Adobe Type 1 by Adobe Type Manager.

Adobe Type Manager (the full app, not the plug-in) will cure all of your font woes. It can track, load and unload fonts anywhere on your system. This is most helpful cause you dont have to fill up your system fonts folder with fonts you only use once and a whille.
